In the heart of Mississippi, Jennifer Di Fatta is forging a compelling narrative—not just through the stories she aims to tell on screen, but through the personal and professional journey she shares with aspiring women in film. A current film student and aspiring producer, Di Fatta ‘s candid voice adds depth to the ongoing conversation about gender equity, safety, and representation in the Southern film industry.
Di Fatta, who began her creative path as a child model and self-styled VHS filmmaker, credits her lifelong love of the camera as the spark for her aspirations. “I started modeling early and was always filming—talk shows, music videos, even a Bigfoot movie—with my cousins,” she recalled. “One Christmas, my mom got tired of me stealing her camcorder and got me my own. That was magic.”
