Saint Paul’s Italian Fest breaks record, raises funds for Neighborhood Center

By: Jade Leah Burns

Organizers of the Saint Paul’s Italian Festival said this was a record-breaking year. Over 7,000 people came to Saint Paul’s Church in Little Italy to attend the festival. It was a weekend of authentic Italian food, selling 10,000 meatballs and 3,000 cannoli. Proceeds from the event will go toward building the Saint Paul’s Neighborhood Center.

“You are putting out really large amount of food, but what we keep hearing consistently is how good it is, right? And that’s something we really have been striving for with the festival is just to be authentic, and people seem to agree that our meatballs are authentic, our sauce, everything. They say it tastes just like home,” said Ashlyn Keenan, PR and marketing director for the Italian Festival
