Amid regular announcements of permanent restaurant closures forced by COVID-19, a historic favorite will return to the city’s downtown this fall. Announced over the weekend, the Rosa Restaurant will see its third incarnation at its original 70 State St. location. Armando’s, the restaurant which took over the space in late 2018, is now marked as “permanently closed” on its Facebook page.
“The Rosa Restaurant couldn’t be happier to announce we will be opening in the fall of 2020,” a Friday Facebook announcement read. “More than ever, we need places that feel like home. No nonsense, classic Italian food shared with families and friends.”
