Passport mission for Italian citizens registered with AIRE and residing in Alabama and Mississippi

As part of the initiatives undertaken by the Consulate General to provide even more consular services, including proximity services, to the large Italian community in the southeastern United States, we are pleased to inform you that a passport mission is being organized in Birmingham, Alabama, for Italian citizens registered with AIRE and residing in the States of Alabama and Mississippi.

The mission is currently scheduled for February 25, 26, and 27, 2026. The final duration of the initiative may be confirmed or adjusted depending on the number of requests received. The location that will host the mission will be communicated in a subsequent notice, once the necessary organizational and security checks have been completed.

As mentioned, this initiative is part of the consular proximity activities, aimed at facilitating access to services for Italian citizens living in areas farther from the Consulate General in Miami.

Further information regarding confirmation of the dates, the venue, and the required documentation will be published in the coming days on this website and through the official social media channels of the Consulate General.

To express your interest and request an appointment during the passport mission, please write as soon as possible to the Passport Office at the following email address: [email protected].
