Carla and Christine Pallotta now see diners eating up their childhood favorites at their waterfront restaurant, Nebo Cucina & Enoteca. But growing up, the food found on the sisters’ plates wasn’t all that popular outside their native North End.
“It’s really funny: We moved from the North End to Stoneham when we were a little older, and nobody there ate like we ate,” Carla told the Track. “My mother would make hot sandwiches for us, wrap them in Saran Wrap and then put them in paper bags that got all greasy,” she continued.
