Everyday typing can be a major struggle for people with Parkinson’s – trembling hands, slow movement, hesitation and even freezing mid-keystroke often make using a standard keyboard frustrating or impossible. Seeing a loved one struggle with simple tasks like writing an email, Italian designer Alessandra Galli decided to do something concrete.
Alessandra Galli was born in Como in 1995. She holds a Bachelor's degree from NABA in Milan and a Master's in Integrated Product Design from TU Delft. Studying at Delft University of Technology, Galli, inspired by her Italian roots and a deep understanding of design’s power to improve lives, developed an innovative solution: a smart keyboard called OnCue specifically designed to help people with Parkinson’s regain typing ability and confidence.
