The traditional idea of spending an entire working life in the same profession appears to be losing ground in Italy. A new survey suggests that a large majority of Italians are open to changing careers, even though many remain uncertain about how to turn that ambition into a practical move.
Research conducted by Censuswide for Indeed surveyed 1,000 employed people and job seekers in Italy between June 26 and June 30, 2026. According to the findings, 69% would consider changing careers. Among people currently working either full time or part time, 26% say the idea of making a professional change is constantly on their minds.
