Talks between Premier Giorgia Meloni and United States Vice President JD Vance in Milan Friday focusing on developments in Iran and Venezuela confirm the strategic partnership between Italy and the US, her office at Palazzo Chigi in Rome said.
"The meeting confirmed the strength of the strategic relationship between Italy and the United States, founded on a historically deep-rooted and multifaceted partnership and on deep ties between the two peoples, as well as on a common view on major global challenges, starting with energy security and the creation of secure and reliable supply chains for critical minerals," said a statement from Palazzo Chigi.
