Lyndhurst is the place for old-school Italian restaurants. Here are four of our favorites

Throw a stone in Jersey and you’ll likely hit an Italian restaurant. They’re everywhere —from greasy pizza joints to ritzy, white-tablecloth bistros.

And Lyndhurst is noted as a town with one of the highest Italian populations in the country, according to census data. An admittedly dated 2005 report from The New Jersey Italian and Italian American Heritage Commission put the Italian population of Lyndhurst at 40.8%, the highest percentage in Bergen county and the fifth-highest in New Jersey.
