Love, family and the beauty of Florence will take center stage this month when Wagner College Theatre presents “The Light in the Piazza,” running Nov. 12-22. Set in Italy, the Tony Award-winning musical follows American tourist Margaret Johnson and her daughter, Clara, as they meet Fabrizio, a young Italian man.
When Clara and Fabrizio fall in love, their families are forced to confront questions about love, protection and what it means to let someone go. “The Light in the Piazza” will be performed in Wagner College Theatre’s Main Hall Theatre at 8 p.m. Nov. 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21, with 2 p.m. matinees Nov. 14, 21 and 22.
