Lectures spotlight Italian role in American independence

As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of its independence, the Italian community is proud to offer a distinctive perspective to the celebration. The significant role Italian thinkers played in the intellectual making of the American nation – whether through direct relationships with the Founding Fathers or through the powerful circulation of their ideas across the Atlantic – is too often overlooked.

Under the leadership of Consul General Nico Frandi, the Italian Consulate in Philadelphia has organized and sponsored a compelling lecture series highlighting this historic transatlantic dialogue, in collaboration with PI-Philly, the America-Italy Society, and Bryn Mawr College.
