American-born Bangle left an illustrious and somewhat controversial career as Chief of Design for German-based BMW in 2009, choosing instead to settle in rural Clavesana (Piemonte) Italy. Ready for a new approach to life, Bangle established a successful consultation company amidst the ongoing restoration of his Piemontese borgata – a collection of rural farm buildings.
