New York has no shortage of tiny windows dispensing coffee, pizza and the occasional very expensive scoop of gelato. But later this month, we’re getting something far more Italian: an actual wine window (or, technically, a beer window inspired by one).
Peroni Nastro Azzurro is bringing Italy’s centuries-old buchette del vino tradition stateside with Peroni Portals, a new pop-up series kicking off on July 24. The flagship event will turn The Parkgate in the West Village into an aperitivo-inspired walk-up window where guests can grab an ice-cold Peroni and focaccia created by Giada De Laurentiis.
