Italy’s education technology sector is entering a new phase, moving beyond experimentation into a more structured and economically relevant industry. What was once driven by emergency adoption during the pandemic has now evolved into a market defined by measurable outcomes, scalability, and integration into business processes.
Today, the Italian EdTech ecosystem generates about €2.7 billion in revenue and employs roughly 11,000 people, positioning it as a growing component of the country’s innovation economy. This expansion is not only about size but also about acceleration: in 2024 alone, startups in the sector raised €74 million in private funding, marking a +174% increase compared to the previous year.
