Italy has secured a remarkable result in a new study examining where travelers experience the greatest sense of happiness. Among 155 destinations analyzed worldwide, 3 Italian locations entered Europe’s top 10 – Positano, Florence and Rome – with Positano taking first place.
The research analyzed more than 1 million online reviews of tourist attractions, resorts, scenic locations, national parks and other popular venues. Rather than relying on traditional indicators such as visitor numbers, hotel occupancy or tourism revenue, the study examined the emotional language used by travelers.
