Huwell US Inc., a cosmetics and hair care products manufacturer, announced its first U.S. facility in Cherokee County. Officials said that the company’s $11.6 million investment will create 25 new jobs. Headquartered in Italy, Huwell has produced hair products for over 60 years. The company is a private label manufacturer of lighteners that provides bleaching powders and distributes raw materials for the formulation of cosmetic products.
Huwell’s new 120,000 square-foot facility, located at 14 Commerce Drive in Gaffney, will produce lighteners for a wide range of customers from large, well-established brands to smaller, independent cosmetic companies.
