The Italian American Women’s Center (IAWC) presented five high school students from the Class of 2026 who are of Italian American heritage with $1,500 scholarships on Sunday, July 19, during a luncheon at Il Bacco Ristorante, located at 253-24 Northern Blvd. in Little Neck.
The students, who reside in Queens and Long Island, were honored for their study of Italian language and culture, as well as their academic achievements. Honorees included Valley Stream High School graduate Joseph Albano, New Hyde Park Memorial High School graduate Francesca Curatolo, Archbishop Molly High School graduate Isabella Fortunato, Bethpage High School graduate Ava Gianfrancesco and Bethpage High School graduate Daniella Russo.
