Italian American Heritage Club of Hunterdon County brings tastes & sounds of Italy to Food Pantry

On March 18th the Flemington Area Food Pantry was awakened by the sounds of Italian music as twelve members of the Italian-American Heritage Club of Hunterdon County stood outside, greeting community members as they arrived for food assistance.

This would not be the first time the Italian Club, made up of Italian-Americans lent assistance to the Flemington Area Food Pantry. Each year, the Hunterdon-based Italian club gives two large checks to both major local food pantries in Flemington and Clinton (Open Cupboard Food Pantry).  It was decided amongst the Italian club members to do something extra, something personal, something Italian: offer an Italian “meal to go.”
