ITA Airways sent notes yesterday about the end of its Volare program, which Sebastian covered (read more here), without mentioning that Lufthansa Group Miles&More would be its official program from April 1, 2026. Due to legal reasons, how loyalty programs are administered in Italy, Volare members are not automatically signed up for Miles&More, and Volare miles, or points as they call them, don’t become Miles&More miles, but soon expire unless they are used.
You can access Miles&More here. The only question remaining is whether ITA Airways will also join the Star Alliance as of this date, as it already has agreements with many of the alliance’s airlines, such as United Airlines and Air Canada.
