The glasses of Barolo and Barbaresco, together with the great wines of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato regions, a Unesco World Heritage vineyard landscape that, after the grape harvest, offers the magic of autumn foliage; the sparkling wines of Asti and Alta Langa, arisen in the “Underground Cathedrals”, also recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site;
and the aroma of the world finest white truffle at the height of its harvesting season, will accompany travelers aboard Italy historic trains which, between October and November 2026, will lead them to discover some of the most celebrated territories of Italian food and wine culture. The offerings of the Fondazione FS Italiane are being enriched with new signature itineraries dedicated to Piedmont and Lombardy: the Milan-Alba and Turin-Canelli routes.
