As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary this July 4, one of the most spectacular maritime events in the nation's history will take place in the waters surrounding New York Harbor and Sandy Hook Bay. Highlands is proud to serve as one of the premier destinations for residents and visitors eager to experience the arrival of dozens of majestic tall ships from around the world.
As part of Sail4th 250, the official maritime celebration of America's 250th anniversary, more than 50 international tall ships representing more than 30 nations, along with naval vessels and other maritime participants, are expected to gather in the Port of New York and New Jersey between July 3 and July 8.
