Grand opening of "Little Sicily" in Rutherford, NJ

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, 2:30 p.m. Manfredi Barbera USA Corp., 135 Union Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 07070.

Little Sicily is a new permanent space at the U.S. headquarters of Manfredi Barbera & Figli — a fourth-generation Sicilian olive oil producer, based in Rutherford since 2018 — designed as a hybrid business-and-culture venue: part showroom for Sicilian food and agricultural heritage, part venue for meetings, tastings and events, and part platform for connecting Sicilian companies with American buyers, distributors and partners.

Rutherford Mayor Frank Nunziato and New Jersey State Senator Paul A. Sarlo (36th District) will attend and take part in the ribbon-cutting. The opening doubles as the signing of a new trade agreement between the Sicilian regional government and the Specialty Food Association, with Sicilian official Edy Tamajo traveling from Italy for the occasion. Ribbon-cutting, brief remarks, and a tasting of traditional Sicilian dishes.
