Benvenuto! Italian heritage and culture are deeply woven into the fabric of Fremont County. For more than 140 years, Italian families have shaped this community — from the mines they worked to the businesses they built, and the traditions they proudly passed down through generations. Their influence continues to be felt throughout the region today.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17. This is a last-chance opportunity to experience the exhibit “From Miners to Merchants,” celebrating Italian heritage in Fremont County. The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Royal Gorge Lodge No. 2866, helped design and implement the exhibit and will be providing refreshments.
