This year marks the 11th anniversary of Columbus Day in Texas – which also coincides with Italian American Heritage Month – and once again the celebration will take place at Klyde Warren Park, in the heart of Dallas. The park will transform into a lively corner of Italy, filled with culture, music, and community spirit.
The event is organized by the Siciliani Texas Association, CSNA, and CTIM, with the participation of Italian diplomatic officials and representatives of the Italian American community. Live performances will feature singers and musicians including Chessy Silvana and Cesare Rascel directly from Italy, along with the dynamic energy of the Emerald City Allstar Band.
“We are proud to carry on our traditions and keep our history alive,” said Vincenzo Arcobelli, chairman of the event, member of the General Council of Italians Abroad, and President of the Tricolor Committee for Italians in the World. “We are grateful to the American administration and to President Trump for the proclamation reaffirming the celebration of Columbus Day and for the message of support he expressed toward Italians, stating: ‘We’re back, we’re back as Italians, we love Italians.’”
Arcobelli emphasized his enthusiasm for this recognition, which strengthens the deep bond between Italy and the United States and celebrates the contribution of Italian Americans to the nation’s history and culture.
