Boston College has named Francesco D'Agostino head coach of its men's soccer program, removing the interim designation he has held since Aug. 3. D'Agostino, in his seventh season at Boston College, spent the previous six seasons as associate head coach. He brings collegiate head coaching experience, a background in player development and extensive ties to soccer in New England.
During his tenure at Boston College, D'Agostino has helped develop All-ACC selections and players who have advanced to the professional ranks. Standout players included Ask Ekeland, who earned second-team All-ACC honors, and Stefan Sigurdarson, who led the conference in goals and points in 2022. Multiple Eagles advanced to the professional level, including MLS SuperDraft picks CJ Williams, Victor Souza, and Amos Shapiro-Thompson.
