Ancona named Italy’s capital of culture 2028 with a forward-looking vision

Ancona in the Marche region has been selected as Italy’s Capital of Culture for 2028, marking a major milestone for the Adriatic city and its long-term development strategy.

The designation comes with a national grant of €1 million, but the broader plan goes far beyond that figure, involving investments of more than €50 million in urban regeneration, along with an additional €70 million linked to post-earthquake reconstruction funds.
