Italy’s Ambassador to the United States, Marco Peronaci, will make his first official visit to Washington State, marking an important occasion for the Italian and Italian American communities of the Pacific Northwest.
On Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., Casa Italiana – Italian Cultural Center in Burien, near Seattle, will host a special reception welcoming the Ambassador and celebrating the longstanding friendship between Italy and the United States.
The event is organized by Casa Italiana in collaboration with Elisabetta Valentini, Honorary Consul of Italy in Seattle. Ambassador Peronaci will be accompanied by Massimo Carnelos, Consul General of Italy in San Francisco, whose consular jurisdiction includes Washington State.
The gathering will offer community members a valuable opportunity to meet Italy’s highest diplomatic representative in the United States, strengthen personal and institutional relationships, and celebrate their shared Italian heritage.
Ambassador Peronaci, who assumed his position in Washington, D.C., in September 2025, has emphasized economic cooperation, cultural diplomacy, and engagement with Italian communities throughout the country. His previous visits have included California and North Carolina, where he met institutional representatives, business leaders, and cultural organizations.
Casa Italiana, located at 13028 First Avenue South in Burien, serves as an important gathering place for the region’s Italian community, promoting language, culture, traditions, and connections across generations.
The November 7 reception represents another opportunity to highlight the contributions of Italians and Italian Americans to the Pacific Northwest while reinforcing the relationship between Italy and this dynamic region of the United States.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the local Italian community. However, advance registration is mandatory.
