The Italian Consul General of Italy in Philadelphia recently presented the exhibit “Inside Abruzzo, Secrets of Italy” from the WITCHA Museum in Abruzzo Italy. The exhibit was presented at the Italian Cultural Center in Tinicum, Delaware County.
The exhibition is a journey through the traditions of the early decades of the 1900s. It focuses on the farming and livestock traditions as well as the lives of the farmers, shepherds, and their families and is annotated in Italian, English, and Spanish. It took almost 20 years to curate the exhibit through materials provided by people in the region as well as oral interviews with those who worked the land along with their families.
