Behold this Renaissance lady. How would you describe her expression? For a woman of her era - the early Sixteenth century, she looks rather daring to me: she gazes straight into your eyes, as a modern young woman would do today. Her countenance appears to me coquettish, even mischievous.
Her stunning elegance - the imposing balzo hat with concentric circles around a Pegasus badge, the plume she holds against her chest, coupled with her self-assured look, tinged with a touch of coyness, convey the feeling that she knows what she talks about: "sa il fatto suo", we'd say in Italian.
