On April 24, 2026, from 6 PM to 10 PM at Point Loma Assembly, we invite you to join us for Rinascimento at the ICC, our first ever fundraiser gala celebrating our 45th anniversary and the dawn of a new era for our community.
Let us transport you to another time and place! You arrive, and the world outside falls away completely. You're handed a prosecco, and the air is filled with the scent of a sumptuous feast inspired by Renaissance Italy, courtesy of Chef Mark Pelliccia.
You'll hear the soft tinkling of glassware, as each course will be paired with beautiful Italian wines. A hush falls over the room as a special operatic guest fills the space with live music, song, and theater, and we are immersed in the transformative artistry of another age. It's followed by a program celebrating the history of the Italian Cultural Center, a proud fixture of San Diego for 45 years. You explore an exclusive silent auction, featuring packages crafted to reflect the wonderful community we share with museums, restaurants, and cultural experiences. There will be more surprises along the way! After the program, a DJ spins Italian and American classics, and the whole room comes alive with dancing until it's time to go.

Since 1981, the Italian Cultural Center of San Diego has served as a vibrant bridge connecting our community to evolving Italian language, traditions, and contemporary culture. Now, we want to expand our impact and inspire the next generation! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to our mission to cultivate a welcoming and curious community that embraces Italian culture while exploring its future.
This fundraiser will help us:
Ignite Young Minds - We will bring Italian language and culture directly into San Diego elementary school classrooms, jumpstarting linguistic ability during the critical years when we are most receptive to new languages.
Connect Communities Through Art and Artistic Practice - We will strengthen our arts and culture programming, bringing accomplished Italian, Italian-American, and Italy-focused artists, actors, musicians, and cultural practitioners to San Diego while creating opportunities for meaningful cultural dialogue and authentic artistic experiences to our community.
Find our Permanent Home - Building funds toward the purchase of a new casa/home for ICC that will serve as a cultural center, library, classroom, and a locally-focused history center for our community.
