We all know that the Statue of Liberty is the symbol of New York, and has a history of its own, but perhaps not many people know that on the facade of the Duomo of #Milan is carved a statue depicting the Statue of Liberty, which is also most likely the original version.

The representation, which is located on the left side of the balcony and more precisely above the central door of the Duomo, dates back to 1810 and was made by Camillo Pacetti who gave it the name "La Legge Nuova". Frederic Auguste Bartholdi was inspired by "La Legge Nuova", created by Pacetti during the Napoleonic era, for the creation of the Statue of Liberty that we can all admire today in New York. "The New Law" was built 70 years before the one that has become the symbol of New York City.
