Italian cheese is going down the road of exports with excellent results. In 2020 sales across borders generated a total turnover of 3.5 billion euros. The growth compared to 2019 was +1% in volume (exceeding 463 thousand tons).
A result that, however, is worth much more if we take into account the difficulties faced in the year of the pandemic shutdown coming with a global blockade of all catering shipments.
