Italy is the superstar among the tourist destinations for the summer 2016. The terrorism emergency and the serious attacks in these last days have profoundly changed the flows that are moving away from the traditionally most popular areas of Turkey, Tunisia and Egypt but also the French coast towards Italy, which is considered safer. A choice by the Italians, but also by many foreign citizens, especially the Germans, French and Americans.
Of the 35 million Italians who are planning their vacations, only 27% seem directed towards visiting European cities. The percentage of those traveling to other continents is even smaller (9%), but the core group will go to national sea and mountain resorts with a peak forecast even for agritourism facilities where 6.5 million guests are expected.
