Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio crossover will welcome a beefy, fuel-efficient sibling in the next two or three years. Banking on the higher profit margins of large crossovers, the Italian-American luxury automaker announced that it would unveil a larger flagship SUV based closely on the Stelvio compact crossover, which made its debut as a 2018 model late last year.
While details remain sparse, the full-size, SUV is expected to compete with the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Volvo XC90 and upcoming BMW X7, as a three-row, 7-passenger luxury, pseudo-sporty crossover.
