Angelo Pietro, the popular Japan-based Italian restaurant chain, which closed down its only Hawaii location near Ala Moana Center in Honolulu in September, has found a new location, but a little further east to the Kaimuki neighborhood, the restaurant's general manager confirmed to PBN.
Angelo Pietro's will open in the spring of 2015 at 1108 12th Ave., Tomohiko Shiomi, GM of Angelo Pietro's told PBN. "I've just signed the lease agreement [and] we are still in the process of [renovating]," he said in an email. The new, 1,782-square-foot location, which will seat about 70 customers and used to house Kaimuki Grill, which closed, was recently announced on the eatery's Facebook page, noting that "the long wait is finally over."
