A local company that is expanding in the restaurant business now has two projects underway for properties with long histories in New Orleans dining. The Rizzuto Management Group is renovating the Bourbon Street address that once was home to Toney's Spaghetti House. It will become a new Creole-Italian restaurant called Creole Carre, which is expected to open in early February.
At the same time, the company has leased the former home of Tony Angello's Ristorante in Lakeview. While details of this project are not final, the Rizzuto family expects to open a new restaurant there by early spring. Tony Angello's closed in December after more than 40 years in business.
