The former Cliftons Pizza Co. on Frankfort Avenue will remain in the Italian food family. Building owner Sheila Tasman told Insider that the La Grange-based restaurant Steve-O’s Italian Kitchen is opening a second location at 2230 Frankfort Ave. The address was occupied by Cliftons for more than 28 years until mid-September when it abruptly closed.
“I had a lot of interest in that space, and when it came down to it, there were a couple that really wanted it, and it was difficult,” Tasman said, noting “it was a great problem to have.” Tasman said she ultimately chose to sign a lease agreement with Steve-O’s owner, Steve Tingle, because of the quality of food and level of respect people have for the restaurant, similar to Cliftons.
