A slice of Italy has come to Gotham's most famous department store. Along with trendy shoes and brand -name cookware, New Yorkers can now get gourmet pizzas and artisanal gelato at Macy's Herald Square store.
It's the latest phase of the flagship's multi million -dollar makeover, a facelift that's expected to draw a younger, hipper crowd. Stella 34 Trattoria and Vivoli Il Gelato, an adjoining ice cream kiosk, already look the part.
