What makes a downtown vibrant? Johnny’s restaurant is part of an “ecosystem around entertaining,” according to Philip Morris, CEO of Proctors, the performing arts center in downtown Schenectady. “Having mutually beneficial things for guests and people who come to the theater to do is vital,” Morris said.
The Italian restaurant on State Street in downtown Schenectady is owned and operated by the Mallozzi family. “The Mallozzis were the very first people to invest in downtown Schenectady 23 years ago. It was cutting-edge,” said Morris. Johnny’s is one of Proctors' partner restaurants — and one of the first places to spring to mind when thinking of dinner and a show in Schenectady.
