With the winter season approaching, going on a trip to the Italian Alps might be a dream. But before forking over the cash, aspiring travelers can visit Baita, a pop-up restaurant at Eataly in New York that’s just as festive and cozy as the ski chalets in northern Italy.
In Piemontese, the word ‘baita’ refers to a small ski lodge located in the Italian Alps. But for Eataly, it refers to a homey wooden cabin located on the 14th floor of its Flatiron location. There are no sights of ski slopes here, but the temperature could soon resemble that of snowy mountains.
