DeFazio’s, which has been serving authentic Italian wood-fired pizza and Italian dishes since 1951, has been added to the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry. The family-owned business was opened by Anthony and Josie DeFazio 71 years ago on 4th Street in Troy. In 1990, Rocco and Anthony DeFazio opened up their wood-fired pizzeria next door.

The designation also comes a year after Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports rated their pizza an 8.2.
