There's a new kid in town in Fort Point, now that the Italian cafe Trattoria Buco has opened its doors inside the Artist Building at 300 Summer St. after nearly a year of preparations. The latest culinary project from Reno Hoxhallari, of Basta Pasta in Cambridge and Basta Pasta Enoteca in Quincy, features fresh Italian food served from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"I think we've got a beautiful place. Everything's fresh. Everything's made to order," Hoxhallari said. Trattoria Buco offers light breakfast — including bagels and croissants — with coffee and espresso bar items. Lunch starts at 11 a.m., according to Hoxhallari, and features traditional Italian items like panini and risottos, plus homemade pastas and salads.
