A new pizzeria specializing in wood-fired pies has opened on Route 1 North. On Feb. 1 Rodrigo Souza launched Famiglia Fornaciari Pizzaria at 1268 Broadway. He took over the pizza shop that was previously called Royal Taste and introduced a new menu.
Famiglia Fornaciari offers a wide selection of pizza baked in a wood-fired oven that Souza had installed. At Famiglia Fornaciari the focus is on providing authentic Italian-style pizza, Souza said. Souza spent several years in Italy learning the pizza business. He was certified as a pizza maker in 2009 and as a pizza instructor in 2010.
