Rita's Italian Ice, the world's largest Italian Ice concept with more than 600 stores, is continuing its expansion in the Midwest and seeking franchisees to join its team for the Kansas and Missouri territory. Rita's, which began more than 30 years ago in Philadelphia, has been aggressively expanding across the United States with locations from coast to coast, including two stores and a mobile unit currently open in Wichita, Kansas.
Aloha Rita's Kansas, which owns the rights for Rita's development of Kansas and Missouri, is led by Jeff Miller, Jay Miller and Pat Reilly. The trio opened their first Rita's store in Wichita in March 2014 and recently opened a second store in Old Town Village. A third store location is expected to open later this year in Hutchison and will feature a Sandella's Flatbread Café, making it the third-ever Sandella's co-branded store across the entire Rita's system.
