Alberto and Grace Alfano, owners of Alfano's Pizzeria, 206 S. Main St., recently received the Small Business of the Year Award at the Chamber of Commerce's annual awards dinner. The couple has used the business as a means to branch out into more philanthropic efforts.

"We have put a lot back into this community," Alberto said. "We initially helped the Relay For Life, because I have a lot of family who have dealt with breast cancer. It is an issue very close to me. We do an Appreciation Day, where we give a percentage of each order to them. It ends up amounting to our daily profit."
