A Jersey City pizzeria owner said he’s making sure he gives back to the community on National Pizza Day. Pizzerias across the country will be joining forces to feed the hungry and fight against food insecurity through the Pizza Across America campaign on Tuesday — National Pizza Day.
“Sure, small businesses like pizzerias are having a tough year, but too many people are suffering more than we are. I like the idea of celebrating National Pizza Day by helping others rather than squandering it by celebrating ourselves,” Carmine Testa, co-founder of the campaign, said in a statement.
