Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I-Sayville) is announcing this year's Italian-American scholarships, which are offered to New York State's high school seniors or future college students. The New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators will award 4 scholarships, two athletic and two academic, in allotments of $2,500 each.
"Our conference is very proud of our role in promoting higher education and assisting students in reaching their academic goals and full potential for future success in the global marketplace," Garbarino said. "It's always comforting to know we have young, ambitious students who are active in their communities and are eager to expand their knowledge by earning a college degree."
