The Department of Modern Languages at Kansas State University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian, term position, for the 2015-2016 academic year, with an option to be renewed. Completed PhD by August 2015 preferred, ABD considered.
Native or near-native proficiency in Italian required. Generalist with ability to teach introductory and intermediate language courses. Candidate will teach 5 courses annually, supervise one graduate teaching assistant, and coordinate offerings in Italian. Undergraduate teaching experience and experience with coordination, including graduate student teacher supervision, are assets.
Successful candidate will value diversity in all its dimensions, and consider different cultural perspectives in solving problems in this area.
