TAPinto West Orange recently caught up with the Orange/WestOrange UNICO Chapter (O/WO) of UNICO National for an update on its activities since we last profiled them. According to the Chapter’s President, Frank Gonnella, “Fun was had by all at our Annual Bocce Tournament fundraiser at Montville Community Park, where we had good food, great bocce and -- of course -- great friends coming together for charity.”
He shared that 100% of the money goes to West Orange High School scholarships. The 2023 bocce winners were the team of brothers Frank and Vincent Gonnella and Phyllis and Joe Torlucci. Another happy annual event was raising the Italian flag on October 4, 2023.
