The new portal, Prenot@Mi, is online at https://www.prenotami.esteri.it for booking appointments for passports and visas at the Consulate General of Italy in Houston. The Prenot@Mi portal offers some innovative features. Security has been enhanced and more robust authentication systems will be introduced to ensure user authenticity. The new graphical interface, simpler, more intuitive and user-friendly, also aims to simplify the user's approach during registration and booking.
The portal also introduces a system of waiting list management, so as not to lose the priority acquired at the time of booking and to provide feedback to the user even in the temporary absence of appointments. Finally, the user will be able, already during the booking phase, to upload on the portal the necessary documents for the provision of the booked service, thus reducing the processing time at the counter on the day of the appointment.
